Ernst Gruler

The innovative, contemporary fine art furniture of artist Ernst Gruler melds sculptural design and ergonomic comfort. Gruler has developed a fabrication process that involves bending wood laminates into what he considers functional sculpture. Gruler’s work combines technical mastery, creative design and artistic excellence. The furniture is exceptionally durable and a pleasure to live with. The painted surfaces are layered, rubbed and sealed. They clean up easily and colors can be customized to blend with specific interior needs. First trained as a model maker and then as a fine artist, Gruler holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree along with a Master of Arts, Both in furniture design. Over the past 20 years Gruler has developed his design sensibilities through the creation of furniture, abstract paintings and unique lighting. Gruler’s work has been exhibited nationally and collected internationally.
